As she walked away, Kyson wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth with his hand and let out a bitter, self-mocking smile. He lowered his head, concealing the sadness in his eyes.
Hearing him laugh, Lucinda quickened her pace.
Immediately she walked out of the palace, she spotted Sonny and Jamie approaching her.
Seeing her alone, Jamie inquired, “Miss Simmons, where is my master?”
Lucinda gazed at Sonny in silence before responding to Jamie, “He’s still inside. I suppose we won’t be meeting the Princess Royal today.
